Oklahoma Mechanical Continuing Education
Our Oklahoma Mechanical continuing education courses are code based and written using real world applications. The NEC Review Part 1 and Electrical Law course covers chapters 1 and 2 of the 2005 NEC codebook. This course offers lessons on Article 100 which includes definitions of common industry terms as set forth by the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and the NECC (National Electrical Code Committee), gaining a more thorough understanding of the 2005 NEC codebook, and the most common misconceptions of the national electrical code.

We are currently developing Oklahoma Mechanical continuing education courses. The Oklahoma Mechanical continuing education will maintain the high stardards that American Contractor's Exam Services has set for all the training we provide. The courses that will be offered are:
- HVAC and Mold - Now that mold is a hot topic in the construction industry, this course will cover HVAC systems as a source of mold, new construction and mold, rightsizing, standards and regulations, liability, and litigation.
- Job Costs and Estimating - The subject matter will cover pricing strategies, estimating overhead and profit, planning overhead, cost recording, and the estimating process.
- Basic Electrical Calculations - This course reviews proper design, install, and maintain electrical equipment for HVAC systems. Topics covered are electrical working definitions, concepts, math for electrical calculations, conductors, electrical desing, and layout calculations.
- OSHA Standards - The topics that are covered in this course include preventing fatalities, construction regulations for the building industry, fire protection and prevention, first aid and medical attention, and scaffolds.
These are the current requirements for renewing your Oklahoma Mechanical contractors license. We will always provide the newest information available and will update the requirements as soon as there are changes.
- To renew your Mechanical Contractors License in the state of Oklahoma, you are required to complete 6 hours of continuing education every year.
- 4 continuing education hours must consist of current, published revisions to the International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, and International Residential Code. A maximum of 2 hours may be training on installation of equipment and parts.
- Mechanical Contractors License expires annually. Continuing education must be completed prior to expiration.
- Course providers will submit attendance sheet to the Board when course is completed. Course providers will also furnish each attendee with a certificate of completion.
