• Green building - Topics that will be covered are wind power generators, rainwater harvesting, recycled wood flooring, permeable pavement, and constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment.
• Ethics for Architects - This course will review such topics as conflicts of interest, duties and obligations towards the public, accessibility of records, case studies, and making ethical judgements.
• Mold Prevention - Now that mold is a hot topic in the construction industry, this course will cover sources of mold, new construction and mold, rightsizing, standards and regulations, liability, and litigation.
• Using Gypsum in New Construction - This continuing education course provides current information on drywall and veneer plaster construction, coventional lath and plaster construction, suspended accoustical ceiling systems, and general construction.

These are the current requirements for renewing your Oklahoma Architects license. We will always provide the newest information available and will update the requirements as soon as there are changes.


• To renew your Architects License in the state of Oklahoma, you are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
• Continuing education courses must be taught in subjects that are approved by the Board. Architects licenses expire June 30th of each odd numbered year. Continuing education must be completed prior to expiration.
• During the license renewal, each licensee shall submit an affidavit providing fulfillment of continuing education requirements.
• Licensees must retain a copy of continuing education completion for a minimum of four years. Copies shall be furnished to the Board upon request.
